16810 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister support stronger enforcement against online piracy; if yes, how?

Cameron Brewer: Online piracy continues to be an issue in New Zealand and is not something I condone. Supporting creators, and those who invest in creative content, to protect their work in an evolving online environment is important and I am looking at how this could be better addressed as part of my upcoming work on the Copyright Act 1994.
