Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: What assessment, if any, has the Minister made of the extent to which AI-driven price personalisation is being used by retailers in New Zealand, and whether consumers should have a right to know when they are being shown a different price than another customer?

Cameron Brewer: Officials will continue policy monitoring and analysis on consumer protection relating to consumers’ interactions with AI-driven sale practices.
