Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Māori Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti: How many staff in the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that are responsible to the Minister, if any, that had responding to or processing Official Information Act requests as a core part of their job description, if any, lost their jobs or were restructured out of their roles into a role where OIA requests were not a core part of their role, between 27 November 2023 and 31 December 2024?

Hon Tama Potaka: This question relates to the period before the transfer of the Māori Crown Relations functions to Te Puni Kōkiri on 24 February 2025. For the period 27 November 2023 until 31 December 2024, I am advised that Te Puni Kōkiri consulted Ministry of Justice as it does not hold this information. The Ministry of Justice reply is that two roles that had responsibility for responding to or processing Official Information Act requests as a core part were disestablished in December 2024 and the staff left in February 2025.
