Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open on the week beginning 31 March 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and how many roles were affected?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Tertiary Education Commission is consulting on proposed changes to employee roles, numbers and some functions. A consultation document was released to all staff on the 26th of March that proposes to disestablish 52 roles, create 30 new roles with a reduction of 22 roles. Submissions on the proposed changes close on the 9 April 2025 at 5.00pm. No other consultations have been opened since then.
