16547 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Further to WPQ 11652 (2025) Has additional funding or staffing been allocated to support the Labour Inspectorate’s increased capacity for proactive compliance work, and if so, how much and if not why not?

Hon Brooke van Velden: No additional funding has been provided to the Labour Inspectorate to increase inspectorate staffing. Changes to its operating model and approach to compliance and enforcement activity have enabled the Inspectorate to focus its resources more efficiently and created capacity for increased proactive compliance work.
