16543 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Further to WPQ 11652 (2025) How many proactive compliance investigations, if any, have been conducted by sector and date?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The Labour Inspectorate undertake reactive investigations into complaints and proactive compliance activities to ensure compliance with minimum employment standards. Proactive compliance activities are a significant focus of the Labour Inspectorates operating model. This includes targeted proactive visits and operations across sectors at higher risk of exploitative behaviours. If breaches of minimum employment standards are found a range of compliance and enforcement options are available.
