16528 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How long, on average, from the time the application is lodged does it take for a person to receive an Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR) Subsidy payment?
Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that obtaining this information would require substantial collation and engagement and would divert Ministry staff from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6, I consider that the time required, and hence the expense of answering the Member’s question is not in the public interest. I am further advised that the Ministry generally processes applications within five working days of receiving the final piece of required information. This is also my response to WPQ 16529 (2026)
