16438 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Were any of the Deputy Chief Executives who previously held similar regional roles at Health New Zealand encouraged to apply for the Chief Delivery Officer positions, and have any done so?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that anyone with the relevant experience, qualifications, and knowledge were encouraged to apply for the role, which is focused on delivering access to timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders.
