16425 (2026). Tamatha Paul to the Associate Minister of Housing: What process is the Ministry using to process bond refunds?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Ministry currently processes tenancy bond refunds via multiple channels, including applications processed manually once received by post on paper forms and applications received by email. The process for bond refunds includes; scanning of paper applications, triaging to assess whether all relevant information is provided, moved to a processing queue and once allocated to a bond officer processed manually.
