16406 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for ACC: What technical metrics, if any, are used to evaluate the effectiveness of the Integrated Care Pathways Musculoskeletal program in arthritis management, and can detailed performance data be provided for each district?

Hon Scott Simpson: I am advised that the Integrated Care Pathways Musculoskeletal (ICPMSK) Service Schedule has key performance indicators across a range of measures to evaluate the effectiveness of the service across all cohorts. These include metrics such as reinjury rates, subsequent surgery rates, and time on weekly compensation. Of note, the number of clients who have successfully completed the ICPMSK service for these conditions remains under 100 across New Zealand, making meaningful insights limited.
