16380 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for ACC: Which body or bodies, if any, hold the clinical governance function for the Integrated Care Pathways Musculoskeletal programme?

Hon Scott Simpson: Each Integrated Care Pathways Musculoskeletal (ICPMSK) supplier is responsible for maintaining its own clinical governance structure and processes. The supplier must identify a clinical director who is named in the ICPMSK contract and is responsible for the clinical governance of the pathway. The clinical director must be a medical specialist or a registered physiotherapist in New Zealand, with a current annual practising certificate, and must work within their scope of practice as directed by the responsible authority.
