16269 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Finance: What advice, if any, has the Minister received on fuel tax relief or targeted subsidies since 1 March 2026, listed by date and title?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment has published briefing titles provided to Ministers as part of the All of Government Response on Fuel Security, which can be found here: https://mbie.govt.nz/all-of-government-response-on-fuel-security In addition, the Treasury publishes a monthly list of titles and dates of advice to Ministers, by the middle of the month after the advice is provided. I refer the member to that list, which can be found here: https://www.treasury.govt.nz/publications/budgets/titles-advice-ministers. The application of additional resources to answer this and similar questions now is not a good use of taxpayer funds and therefore not in the public interest.
