Hon Shane Jones: The government's most recent comprehensive review of New Zealand's fuel security settings was completed in February 2025 through the Fuel Security Study. MBIE commissioned consultants Envisory and Castalia to undertake this study. The findings of that work informed the 2025 Fuel Security Plan. Fuel security settings continue to be monitored and reviewed on an ongoing basis as conditions evolve.
