16158 (2025). Rawiri Waititi to the Minister of Health: Has Health New Zealand received any risk assessments or safety reviews, if any, regarding the current birthing arrangements in Ōpōtiki and Whakatāne; if not, why not?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that clinical guidance and quality/safety processes are in place at Ōpōtiki and Whakatāne. My expectation is that Health New Zealand delivers access to timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders.
