16137 (2025). Rawiri Waititi to the Minister of Police: What are the current Police protocols, if any, for responding to mental health-related callouts involving rangatahi, and do these protocols include partnerships with kaupapa Māori mental health services, if not, why not?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police has no specific protocols or policies relating to Youth Mental Health. However, all mental health matters are triaged according to standard practices, with the vulnerability of youth due to their age and development being considered in the triage process.
