16126 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: What subcontractors, if any, has the Ministry of Education been authorised to deal with directly by the School Lunch Collective; listed by subcontractor, roles and responsibilities?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that they work directly with Gilmours on the supply of ingredients at special wholesale pricing that is accessed by internal model schools and iwi/hapu providers. The Ministry has previously had direct contact with Pita Pit and Subway regarding future planning and support backup in the case of their services being required.
