16067 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister responsible for RMA Reform: Has the Minister received any advice on the likely effects of the proposed RMA changes on freshwater ecosystems of cultural significance to Māori; if so, what advice has he received; if not, why not?

Hon Chris Bishop: The Supplementary Analysis Report and Regulatory Impact Statement includes analysis of how the reforms could impact natural areas of significance to Māori. I expect to receive further impact analysis on policy proposals as we work through the detailed design of the new resource management system.
