16065 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Energy: Has the Minister provided any funding to Māori-led alternative or renewable energy projects since taking office; if so, what was the total funding amount; if not, why not?

Hon Simon Watts: Funding is provided for energy-related projects from various sources, including funds managed by EECA (Energy Efficiency & Conservation Authority). Substantial collation would be required to consolidate all total funding and aggregate it by alternative and renewable generation and if it is Māori-led. I do not consider this to be in the public interest.
