16063 (2025). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Regional Development: Has the Minister considered the impact of fast-tracked infrastructure projects on Māori communities living in areas of environmental or cultural significance; if so, what advice has been received; if not, why not?

Hon Shane Jones: The Minister is not responsible for assessing fast-track projects. Expert panels are appointed to consider projects under the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024, including significance for Māori communities.
