16047 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: Why was the draft Year 7-13 English curriculum delayed?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that the delay in the release of the draft English learning area for Years 7-13 was due to further updates being required before the draft learning area was released for consultation. These updates were a result of feedback received through the various reviews undertaken as part of the quality assurance process. The quality assurance process supports the Ministry to deliver a product of the highest possible quality for consultation with the sector and wider public.
