16013 (2025). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: What operational changes, if any, are being considered to increase remand prisoners’ access to services and programmes?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections is currently consulting internally on ways to increase access to rehabilitation and reintegration services and programmes for those on remand through use of third-party vendors, or by an increase in internal FTE. I am further advised that change to practice guidelines will be considered if required to support implementation.
