15912 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What is the anticipated date of practical completion of the ‘Project Whakatuputupu - New Dunedin Hospital’ project inpatients building, as part of Te Whatu Ora’s Infrastructure and Investment projects?

Hon Simeon Brown: In January, our Government provided certainty to the people of Dunedin that we will build the new Dunedin Hospital inpatients building at the Cadbury factory site to futureproof the provision of timely, quality healthcare for the people of Dunedin and the surrounding Otago and Southland regions. As the Member will be aware, I am advised that it would not be in the public interest to disclose this date at this time as Health New Zealand continues to carry on negotiations without prejudice or disadvantage.
