15906 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Education: How many, if any, school lunches were not delivered during the week of March 24th 2025, expressed as an overall number?
Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that one school did not have their lunches delivered on 24 March due to a new driver not familiar with the school. Driver training is now in place.
There were also 16 partially delivered orders during the week of 24 March. Some of this was due to; a missed meal box, third party supplier not delivering all meals ordered, additional food items not provided with meals, and lunches not being correctly entered into the ordering portal by the schools.
In addition, I note that there was a total of 563,648 meals delivered between 24 to 28 March 2025, and 97.13% of these were delivered on time.
This is also my response to written parliamentary question 15907 (2025).
