Hon Simon Watts: Officials advise that following public consultation, the fiscal implications remain unclear given the GST treatment for some management services are dependent on the contractual arrangements which can be changed by the respective parties in the future, and that an unknown number of taxpayers may have already aligned their GST treatment to the view in the interpretation statement. Officials do not anticipate material changes to the fiscal forecasts from finalising IS 25/05 because any behavioural response may have already occurred.
