15854 (2025). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Associate Minister of Housing: Can the Minister confirm he has read his December 2024 'Homelessness Insights' briefing which shows homelessness is increasing?

Hon Tama Potaka: The December 2024 Homelessness Insights report (December 2024) noted a number of things, one of which showing a continued increase in homelessness from 2001 to 2023 Census (which was before the current Coalition Government came into power). The report also states that the increase "has been broadly unchanged in terms of prevalence per 10,000 people" meaning the increase is broadly in line with increases in total population.
