15844 (2025). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: Which training and development programs or projects, if any, would be reduced or put on hold due to the proposed disestablishment of the 49 Corrections’ roles?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that this change proposal does not propose the reduction or pause of any current development programmes or projects. I am further advised that the overarching purpose of this proposal is to ensure that services delivered to Corrections’ staff are more strongly aligned to the operational needs of their workforce and the strategic intent of Corrections. I am advised that the proposed changes aim to ensure that the People and Capability structure serves the needs of the organisation by being consistent, efficient, and fiscally responsible.
