Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Finance: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open on the week beginning 24 March 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and what date are any such consultations expected to close?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury opened consultation on a proposed restructure with impacted employees on 25 and 26 March 2025, informing all staff on 27 March 2025. The consultation will close on 9 April 2025. • The consultation covers primarily Tier 2 and Tier 3 leadership positions, with 11 positions proposed to be disestablished and 12 new positions proposed to be created at these levels. • 5 positions supporting these impacted leadership positions will be reduced to 4. • A further 46 positions have minor changes proposed.
