Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Customs: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open on the week beginning 24 March 2025 with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and how many roles were affected?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that in the week beginning 24 March 2025, the New Zealand Customs Service commenced one consultation process with employees around changes to employment roles, employment numbers and employment conditions. This consultation is regarding Executive Assistants that support senior leaders in the Operations Group. The proposed changes impact four roles. This consultation process is expected to close on 15 April 2025.
