Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 24-28 March 2025: • Opening the Auckland Community Civil Defence Forum, 27 March 2025 • Cyclone Recovery Unit Fortnightly Report (28 March 2025), 28 March 2025. Jointly with the Prime Minister I received the following document: Aide Memoire: North Island Weather Events: Monthly Progress Update on Categorisation, Buyouts, Infrastructure and Local Transport Projects, 27 March 2025. Jointly with the Minister for Finance I received the following document: Ministerial Approval of Pump Station Upgrades Risk Mitigation Project under the Hawke’s Bay North Island Weather Events (2023) Crown Funding Agreement, 24 March 2025 In addition, I also received three documents within the specified timeframe. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents. Further, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in NEMA, Cyclone Recovery Unit, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
