15340 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: What was the composition - in percentage terms - of sources of energy consumed to power or heat buildings, if any, in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, in 2022?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that for the 2022/23 financial year, 100% of the Ministry of Health’s buildings were powered by electricity sourced from the National Grid. Of those buildings, 14% were heated by compressed natural gas and 86% heated by electricity from the National Grid. I am further advised that the period requested pre-dates the establishment of Health New Zealand. Therefore, this information is not available.
