15328 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Has Health New Zealand received any applications for the paediatric palliative care specialist role since it was advertised, if so, how many applications have been received?

Hon Simeon Brown: Access to paediatric palliative care is a key part of ensuring children and their parents can get the care they need at an incredibly distressing time for families. I am advised that as of 31 March 2025, Health New Zealand has received interest from potential candidates. This is an operational matter that is under active consideration.
