15327 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: When was Health New Zealand first aware that the country’s only publicly-funded paediatric palliative care specialist would be on extended leave, and what actions did it take in response?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that due to privacy concerns, Health New Zealand will not disclosed the requested date. I am further advised that there were internal recruitment efforts to arrange locum cover to help deliver access to timely, quality palliative care.
