15325 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Health: What was the composition - in percentage terms - of sources of energy consumed to power or heat buildings, if any, in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, in 2025?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that as at 20 April 2026, 100% of the Ministry of Health’s buildings in the 2025/26 financial year were powered by electricity sourced from the National Grid. Of those buildings, 17% were heated by compressed natural gas and 83% heated by electricity. For Health New Zealand, I refer the Member to Written Parliamentary Question 15320 (2026).
