15313 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Economic Growth: What was the composition - in percentage terms - of sources of energy consumed to power or heat buildings, if any, in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, in 2025?

Hon Nicola Willis: With regard to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), I am advised that the following sources of energy were consumed at MBIE occupied buildings for heating and/or power in the 2024/25 financial year: • Electricity (kWh)- 82.15% • Buildings (Natural gas)- 17.83% • Buildings (Diesel) -0.03% I am also advised that buildings occupied by New Zealand Growth Capital Partners are 100 per cent fuelled by electricity.
