Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: How many, if any, submissions were received by the Ministry of Education as a result of the Minister’s consultation on "Changes to Funding for Resource Teachers Literacy and Resource Teachers Māori" were in favour of re-investing funding from Resource Teachers Literacy elsewhere?

Hon Erica Stanford: Corrected reply: I am advised it is not possible to answer the Member’s question at this time as the consultation did not specifically ask respondents to state whether they were in favour of reinvesting or retaining funding for Resource Teachers: Literacy (RT Lit), or Resource Teachers: Māori (RT Māori). I have attached a copy of the consultation document and the questions asked for the member’s information. The Ministry are still undertaking detailed analysis of the over 2,000 responses received.
