15259 (2025). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Corrections: How, if at all, does the Minister measure the success of rehabilitation programmes run in prisons?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Each year I table the Department of Corrections’ latest Annual Report. This includes the Rehabilitation Quotient, which measures the impact that Corrections’ interventions have on re-offending. I am advised that Corrections also measures the effectiveness of interventions by undertaking quality monitoring and assurance processes, and more in-depth evaluations and reviews.
