15250 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Education: Did officials undertake a Centrix business credit check on Compass Group NZ and Gilmours as a part of the Ka Ora Ka Ako contract process; if so, what credit score did each get?

Hon David Seymour: The Ministry of Education undertook Centrix business credit checks during the procurement of the alternate provision model, as part of preliminary financial due diligence on all short-listed suppliers, which included Compass and Gilmours (FoodStuffs). No red flags were raised. Any specific information obtained from a business credit check is commercial sensitive.
