15242 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Education: Was the Minister aware, prior to contracts being awarded, that the Ministry of Education did not follow the approved recommendation to proceed to initial negotiations with all shortlisted suppliers during the Ka Ora Ka Ako procurement process?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that the initial negotiation discussions with selected regional suppliers identified those suppliers were not able to provide a solution at the $3 price point. This meant construction of a solution comprising multiple regional providers was not an option, and negotiation discussions with other shortlisted regional suppliers were not progressed.
