Hon Brooke van Velden: The major theme of the feedback was that as it stands, businesses and workers don’t know what they need to do to manage risks and meet their legal duties. This uncertainty is driving some undesirable behaviour that increases costs and does not reduce workplace harm. I also heard concerns that the scope of workplace health and safety obligations is creeping into unintended areas.
