15190 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: What, if anything, is the Minister currently doing to address data from the School Library Association of New Zealand Aotearoa (SLANZA) which estimates that two-thirds of schools in New Zealand do not have working libraries?

Hon Erica Stanford: Schools are entitled to space for libraries under the Ministry of Education’s property entitlement calculation, but it is ultimately up to schools as how they use this space.
