15142 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What progress, if any, has been made on securing a public-private partnership for the Northland Expressway, and what timelines, if any, have been set for finalising contracts?

Hon Chris Bishop: On 10 March 2025 I announced that NZTA would be inviting interested parties to express their interest in delivering the first section of the Northland at the NZ Infrastructure Summit. A preferred bidder is expected to be announced in early 2026 and the PPP contract finalised by the middle of 2026.
