Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Children: What was the composition - in percentage terms - of sources of energy consumed to power or heat buildings, if any, in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, in 2022?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the composition of sources of energy consumed to power or heat buildings in 2022 was 85% electricity, 14% gas, and 0% Liquefied Petroleum Gas. Note although some LPG was used, the amount is insignificant when compared to the amount of other sources used and rounds to 0%.
