15135 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Associate Minister of Finance: Is he considering, or is any work being done, to risk-price levies imposed on homeowners by the Natural Hazards Commission?

Hon David Seymour: In the inaugural NHC FRMS of July 2024 I announced that I had decided to undertake a review of the NHC financial settings and levy settings. That work includes considering the risks and levies of the scheme. NHC levies currently reflect a flat-rate (community-rated) levy structure. No work is currently underway to reconsider that design feature.
