15105 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Has he or any of his associates had any discussions with the National Public Health Service about vetting processes for public health staff, and if so, on what dates and with whom?

Hon Simeon Brown: As the Member will be aware, Ministers discuss various matters with officials on a daily basis. My office does not hold a central record of these discussions. Collating this information would require staff in my office, including public servants employed by the Ministry of Health and Health New Zealand, to divert from their regular duties. I do not consider this to be in the public interest.
