Hon David Seymour: The consultation list was selected to canvass views from key stakeholders, ensuring a broad range of interests and maintaining transparency. Representative bodies such as the Insurance Council of New Zealand and the Natural Hazards Commission’s National Reference Group were included to ensure diverse voices were heard. The National Reference Group provides valuable community input into the Natural Hazards Commission’s (NHC) work to strengthen resilience and support recovery from natural hazard events. Stakeholders in the attached list were consulted.
