15080 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tertiary Education: How many litres of petrol, if any, did vehicle fleets in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, consume in 2020?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Tertiary Education Commission’s (TEC’s) vehicle fleet consumed 1,251 litres of petrol during the 2019/20 financial year. 22 motor vehicles were transferred to TEC as part of its merger with Careers New Zealand on 1 July 2017. Immediately before the merger, TEC had no motor vehicles. TEC reviewed its motor vehicle ownership during the 2018/19 year, selling 16 motor vehicles during the year. This continued as TEC sold four more motor vehicles during 2019/20 and the final two motor vehicles during 2020/21.
