15075 (2025). Rawiri Waititi to the Minister of Corrections: What steps, if any, has the Minister taken in response to allegations that Dean Wickliffe was assaulted by prison staff upon arrival at Spring Hill Corrections Facility on 5 March 2025?

Hon Mark Mitchell: As per my response to WPQ 15066 (2025), I received regular updates about Dean Wickliffe. However, the management of people in prison is an operational matter and I have been assured that support was offered to Mr Wickliffe and that Corrections had referred the incident to Police and the staff member involved was placed on special leave.
