14868 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How many litres of petrol, if any, did vehicle fleets in the Minister’s department’s, agencies, crown entities or any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, consume in 2025?

Hon Brooke van Velden: Department of Internal Affairs: I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs that the petrol consumption figures by financial year are set out in the attached table. For the purpose of answering this question, the figures include petrol used from all sources. This includes fuel used by a barge, which is not part of the vehicle fleet. The Department is unable to separately identify or exclude this fuel from the data. Classification Office: I am advised by the Classification Office that they do not own or lease any vehicles. Lotto NZ: I am advised by Lotto NZ that vehicle fleets consumed 14,888 litres of petrol in 2025. Fire and Emergency New Zealand: I refer the member to my answer to written question 14529 (2026).
