Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Disability Issues: What consultations did the Minister’s departments, if any, open on the week beginning 17 March with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and how many roles were affected?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised Ministry of Disabled People – Whaikaha opened a consultation on their proposed permanent structure on Monday 17 March, as they have had a transitional structure since 1 December 2024, when they became a standalone Ministry. The consultation document outlines proposals that see a net growth of 3 roles. In relation to Disability Support Services, which is part of the Ministry of Social Development, I refer the member to my response to written parliamentary question 14793.
