14600 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What access, if any, do staff at the Minister's departments, if any, have to academic databases, and what are these databases, if any?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised that the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) provides library services for its staff and to other associated social sector agencies (shared services libraries). Shared services libraries include: Oranga Tamariki, Whaikaha - Ministry for Disabled People, Social Investment Agency, Social Workers Registration Board and Mana Mokopuna (Children and Young People's Commission). MSD staff have access to the following centrally managed academic databases, based on their role or need for this information. This does not include academic databases that teams have sourced directly outside its centralised model.
